What height bar stool are you looking for?

We stock both modern and traditional bar stools and the majority of them are available in more than one height. Low stools (46 cm) are perfect for pairing with standard height café tables and if you choose a backless stool they can be easily pushed beneath the table maximising your floor space. Medium bar stools (66 cm) are designed for use with counters and can be used for solo diners or those that are just looking to grab a quick cup of coffee or snack in their lunch break. Finally, we have our tall stools which stand 76 cm or more from the seat bottom to the floor. These stools are designed to be paired with poseur style tables or dry bar tables. They’re great for placing in corners or you line up a row along a window wall so that customers could gaze out of the window and people watch as they eat and chat.

Backrest or not?

Having decided what height of stool you need, your next consideration is whether you want a bar stool with a backrest or not. A stool with a backrest gives customers support when they’re seated for a duration but, on the downside, they can’t always be pushed beneath a counter and therefore take up a bit more room. Backless stools take up less room and in many cases can be stacked for convenient storage. Which material should you choose?

The final point to consider is your choice of stool material. If you’re looking for an outside stool polypropylene is one of the best options although some metal stools can be used outdoors too. Wooden bar stools are usually best kept indoors to prevent them from splitting or cracking in the sun or rotting in the rain.
