Cafe Solutions stocks a wide range of plastic chairs for cafes, restaurants, bars, and outdoor dining areas across Australia, with prices starting from $39 per chair. Our polypropylene chairs are injection-moulded from commercial-grade polypropylene, UV-stabilised for Australian conditions, and load-tested to 120kg. Stackable, lightweight, easy to clean, and available in 15+ colours, they’re built to handle the demands of a busy hospitality venu, indoors or out.

Why Choose Plastic Chairs for Your Cafe or Restaurant?

Plastic chairs, more precisely, chairs manufactured from injection-moulded polypropylene, have become the seating of choice for hospitality venues across Australia. Here’s why:

  1. Durability you can measure. Our commercial-grade plastic chairs are load-tested to 120kg and built to withstand the daily punishment of a busy venue. The Envy Chair range is reinforced with fibreglass and produced using a single injection air moulding system — the same chairs held up under a 750kg Holden Colorado truck in our strength test.
  2. UV protection for the Australian climate. UV-stabilising additives are incorporated during the moulding process, slowing colour fade even under direct Australian sun. This is not the same as surface-coated or recycled-plastic furniture, which fades and degrades faster.
  3. Lightweight and stackable. At around 3–4kg per chair, our plastic chairs are easy to move, rearrange, and stack for storage — critical when you’re setting up for an event or clearing a dining room quickly. Stack them up to 10 high to free up floor space.
  4. Easy to clean and maintain. A wipe with a damp cloth removes everyday grime. No sanding, no oiling, no special treatments.
  5. Commercially priced. Starting from $39 per chair, and with bulk pricing available for orders of 50 or more, our plastic chairs are one of the most cost-effective commercial seating solutions on the market. Call us on 07 3205 1616 to discuss quantity pricing.

Stackable Plastic Chairs: Built for Hospitality Storage

If storage space is a premium in your venue, stackable chairs are the practical answer. Our plastic stackable chairs nest cleanly and safely, no special equipment required, making them ideal for function rooms, event spaces, fast food venues, and multi-use hospitality areas.

Every plastic chair in our range is stackable as standard. No need to choose between style and practicality.

Outdoor Plastic Chairs: Weather-Resistant Seating for Alfresco Dining

Our plastic chairs are approved for indoor and outdoor use. The polypropylene compound used includes UV stabilisers that prevent colour degradation from direct sunlight, and the seamless injection-moulded construction means there are no joints or seams where moisture can collect and cause cracking or warping.

For patios, terraces, beer gardens, balconies, and footpath dining, these chairs perform year-round in the Australian climate without the maintenance overhead of timber or the rust risk of untreated metal.

Durable Plastic Chairs in 15+ Colours

Our plastic chairs are available in an extensive palette — from classic black and white through to vibrant colours including red, blue, orange, green, yellow, and seasonal additions. Colour consistency is maintained across armchair and armless variants in each model range, making it easy to build a cohesive look across your venue.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are plastic chairs made from?

Most commercial plastic chairs,  including our full range, are made from polypropylene (PP), a thermoplastic polymer that is injection-moulded into shape. Higher-quality chairs use virgin (non-recycled) polypropylene with UV stabilisers added during moulding. Cheaper alternatives often use recycled plastic or polyethylene (PE), which is less durable and more prone to UV degradation. Look for a label indicating the material before purchasing, non-recycled polypropylene will always outlast recycled plastic in a commercial hospitality setting.

Are plastic chairs suitable for commercial use in cafes and restaurants?

Yes. Our plastic chairs are commercial grade,  load-tested to 120kg and manufactured to withstand the high-rotation usage of a busy hospitality venue. They are not domestic-grade furniture. The Envy Chair range, for example, is fibreglass-reinforced with a single injection air moulding construction.

Can plastic chairs be used outdoors?

Yes. All plastic chairs in our range are rated for indoor and outdoor use. The polypropylene compound includes UV stabilisers to resist colour fade from direct sunlight, and the seamless construction prevents moisture ingress, cracking, and warping. They are suitable for alfresco dining, beer gardens, patios, terraces, and balconies across Australian conditions.

What is the weight limit of plastic chairs?

Our standard commercial polypropylene chairs are load-tested to a static seat load of 120kg. Check the individual product page for the specific test rating of each model.

How do you clean plastic chairs?

?

Wipe down with a damp cloth and mild soap solution. For tougher stains, a diluted household cleaner works well. Avoid abrasive pads or scouring agents that scratch the surface. Do not use heavy-duty pressure washers on a regular basis.
